Information pertaining to the institute’s activities
since 2003 are available in the electronic form. All the computer systems in the
organization connected through LAN.
In pursuance of the objectives of the Institute, NIMH focused
on applied research followed by developmental research in finding out practical
solutions for the problems in order to provide appropriate service and training
models. Under R&D, the
Institute has completed 40 research projects so far and presently about 25
projects are going on.
To date (as of August, 05) about 84
project reports have been brought out in the form of publications comprising
teaching/training manuals, guide books skill training booklets, assessments
scales, functional work books, flip charts etc for the benefit of the
professionals, parents, teachers of regular primary/pre-primary schools and
administrators/policy makers etc.
In addition, NIMH has also brought
out a variety of awareness materials including posters, educational
folders/booklets, brochures and video films.
Further, it has also designed and developed low-cost aids, CAI-packages
and CDs for training children with mental retardation is learning/acquiring
different functional, social, arithmetic skills etc.
All the publications brought out by the Institute
in English and Hindi languages have been converted into the electronic form and
put on LAN(Local Area Network) for the benefit of students, faculty members and
general public. The details of
publication, CAI packages, video films, low-cost aids, educational folders and
posters are available on the Institute’s website. Further all the issues of NIMH Newsletter are also kept on
the website for information of general public.
