NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED, SECUNDERABAD
1. Director:
a). Planning and implementation of teaching, service and research programmes in addition to administration and dissemination services.
b). Coordination with national level institutes and voluntary organizations.
c). As head of the department, exercise control over financial and administrative affairs of the Institute.
d). As Member-Secretary of the Executive Council and General Council and Coordinator of the Academic Committee, formulate, plan and implement programmes and activities as per the decisions taken in the above committees.
e). Coordination with the administrative Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and to implement the Government directions received from time to time.
2. Deputy Director (Technical):
a) To act as Reporting Officer for the purpose of Annual Confidential Reports in respect of all the Heads of the Department at NIMH, Officers Incharge of Regional Centres, Principal, NIMH Model Special Education Centre, New Delhi and Officer Incharge, Composite Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilites, Bhopal.
b) To Coordinate academic activities and Human resource development programmes of the Institute and Regional Centres.
c) To supervise Service activities of the Institute and its Regional Centres
d) Over all monitoring of research and development programmes
e) Overall monitoring of extension and our reach programmes
f) To associate in planning and implementation of the programmes and activities
g) To liaison with Universities, RCI and such other bodies with regard to HRD and R&D programmes

3. Deputy Director (Admn.)
a). Function as Head of Office and supervise general administration, establishment, personnel, accounts and finance, stores and purchase, academic cell, construction, estate management and security services.

c). Provide administrative support to teaching, research and service programmes of the Institute, Regional Centres and NIMH MSEC.
