NIMH has a large number of families having persons with mental retardation seeking consultation and their concerns are individually addressed by the professionals.  The person who is Incharge of Services carries out the overall coordination of the needs of the concerned.  There is a suggestion box provided at services so that suggestions from the public can be received.

One officer is exclusively designated for coordinating visits of public/professionals/public servants/students/any other interested person to the institute.
